im hoping to shoot in some of these, but i have to work saturdays. I have been shooting in the monthly Zia match for a while now, and they are a ton of fun.
Plus you get to shoot with/learn from some VERY VERY good shooters. Many of of them have won national matches |

Does the Zia match just go out to about 600 yds/meters or did they finally put up a 1000yd berm? I've shot many a high power match there and was a member for a few years. Nice range, but I hated having to drive through all the traffic to get there. |

Thats the farthest iv ever shot, so im looking forward to coming out to the Del Norte match one of these days. here is another link for the del norte rifle info http://delnortetactical.com/ |

That's good to hear they go out that far. From my experience shooting Palma with a .308 is that the 800 yd target is easy under good conditions, the 900 yd target is starting to get hard and at 1000 yds I swear a bumblebee's flight can cause one to miss the whole damn target. It is like a .308 runs into a stone wall much past 800 yds (at least with 155 gr Sierra's). The hot 6mm's, 6.5's, 7's and 30 mags have one hell of an advantage. |
