Ok guys, how about a bunch of free once fired 5.56 processed brass.  I have two lots of 500 rds. each of US military (WCC and LC mixed) once fired brass that is polished, swaged primer pockets, trimmed, chamfered and full length sized to .000 to -.001 headspace (sorry I am unable to keep them all the same size due to different manufactures & dates) but it should be good for any normal rifle.

If you want this: you need to explain why you need it.  Homeless, poor college student, wife ran away with best friend and you still miss your shooting buddy, etc.  Best story or hard luck excuse wins.  Yipy suggested we don’t allow anyone from Texas be eligible, but withdrew his objections when it was brought to his attention that NM even allows illegals (Texans included according to Yipy) to get driver licenses and it would be difficult to weed them out.  Besides many Texans have also learned English in addition to their native “Texacan” which would make that much more difficult to differentiate.   Just joking Yipy, I would be happy to hoist a cold one with you anytime.

In case we have multiple entries, I’ll let the gang decide who gets it, one or both lots.  Please pick it up in Albuquerque, make arrangements or if I must ship it will be on your dime.  Be aware I can be slow about shipping!

I need this brass.

Reason #1-

I was recently diagnosed with a disorder that has no cure.I am devastated by the news and my wife /girlfriend/sister no longer speaks to me.

It is hard enough to live with the news of such a thing let alone face the fact I must now go it alone.

I feel your contribution of brass would help fill the lonely hours of my meaningless existence.

Reason NUMBER TWO.

I need more stuff to seal in vacuum bags.

#3 I am not from TEAHUS
Please feel free to IM me and tell me I am the first loser.

I just recently went full time at CNM (I know, I know, I'll look into the shooting club)and just recently got into reloading for the 5.56. I am a poor (community) collage student who cannot shoot without reloading. This is how I'm gonna practice for the zombie outbreak. I need those rounds to reload and practice with.

"I feel your pain!"   I would hazard a guess that would put you in the running.

Well being employed part-time as a silversmith, its been hard these last couple of years with the economy being what it is.  Saving up some funds just to feed my ARs is a chore, yet alone trying to start reloading.  Which I'm working on now(got a press, scale) and some free brass would really help out with my reloading ambitions.

No real hate.  Texans are Texans.  I just loved the scene from that movie.

Well like Ben I am a full time CNM student with little or no money for my toys. I have a friend willing to loan me some reloading tools so I can get started reloading, so some free brass would help kick things off. I was laid off work in January with no notice just a nice were cutting your position have a nice day!
I had been working part time the last few months but its not always enough to pay the mortgage every month so I have had to sell about 4 guns. I was able to get a full time position at work but any extra money will be going to buying tools for school.

What's your major?  I might be able to 'spot' you a tool or two or four.

Not sure what tools I will need yet? I am doing the Machining degree at CNM. I have taking a few of the skills machining classes but its been a while and when I last took it it they supplied all the tools and materials but I know with this economy they won't be doing that. Hoping to get this degree and start working my way to being a gunsmith.

Right on.

Very generous Drain Bammage; I'm sure the lucky winner will appreciate them!

So since the weekend is gone and the contest is over, who does the NM hive feel should win the goodies?

DrainBammage,
It looks like we have enough to give all 3 (benw8887,Blackwoodxl and NMGunslinger)  of them 500 rds. each.  What does everyone say to that?  Also I live in NW Albuquerque off Unser about 1 mile from Rio Rancho.  Where are you located and how about we let them decide which brass they want from us due to location.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice decided upon who checks in first?  If any of them need any help reloading, I am more than willing to help them too; one of the advantages of being retired.  Not by choice, just that the job market went to crap and I didn't want to move!  "Praise Obama, our savior"!

Nathan just picked up his winnings.  I enjoyed our conversation as he is a nice guy, like most ARF commers and made me happy to help him starting out.  If you guys or gals need any Native American silver jewelry he was wearing a really nice chain & claw that he made for himself.  His talent leaves me in awe as I am lucky to draw stick figures let alone do anything near that!

NMGunslinger (Patrick) picked ups his brass today. I bent his ear a bit about gunsmithing and we had a nice visit.  I also promised him that if he got a FFL and started doing gunsmithing I would give him a bunch of books on on the subject that I have accumulated over the years.  So this is wishing him good luck with his courses and career.

Edited for web sites on rifle shooting he requested:

Good for you, Patrick!
Even this late in life, I'm apprenticing with an old-school, do-it-by-hand gunsmith. If I could do it all over, I probably would have gone to school for machining and gunsmithing instead of Psychology (WTF?).
If you ever want to chat with the salty one, it can be arranged.

Thanks,
Lee
