A couple years ago I had an actual cz vz58. It was a great little rifle.
The machined receivers really give it a nice substantial feel overall. Fit and finish were excellent. Trigger pull was very nice, compared to what you would expect from an AK type rifle. It's strange how they look so much like an AK, but none of the parts are interchangable. But, I can't vouch for what a 2008 might or might not be. |
I've shot a real, full-auto, Czech army spec gun at the factory. They are nice AK-like guns, but have a general higher quality feel. Don't know about the VZ2000, but I've not read too many bad things about them. The D-technik made guns are supposed to be great. They are imported by Czechpoint and were also sold by CZ-USA for a while.

I did, I have not got to shoot it yet but the fit and finish are more than I expected.
Stock is firm and solid in both positions. Trigger is not bad and breaks nice. Receiver is machined nicely The sights are a little low and you really have to get down on it, but the last AK I had was the same. If it shoots half as good as it looks it will be great for what I want to use it for. I will try to post up some pics during the rain this weekend. |
