Anyone ever run into him in the Ozark National Forest around White Rock Mountain?
Good or Bad Experience? |

I had a swat team experience or at least that's what it seemed like.
1 uniformed USFS officer and 5 other dressed in military fatigues. The introduction was, as the USFS officer jumped from his SUV, "Forest Service Camp Check". We were guilty until proven innocent by the way they were acting, never did get a ticket but were threatened with several. Still do not know who they were exactly or what the deal was. I did speak with 4 other campsites in the area that weekend and they all got the same treatment. |

This all took place at night around 8pm. They didn't act like they were looking for anything specific. The USFS Officer was definitely the leader, the others did not say anything to us.
They searched everything that was not in a tent or vehicle. Kitchen area, ice chests, 5 gal. pails, etc. They did shine their fancy flashlights into our vehicle's and tent's but did not enter them. They asked when we were leaving, told us they had written down our license plates, and would come back and if the camp was not clean, they would mail us a ticket. It was kinda like, "SOB, did that just happen" He was not an older officer, maybe 40ish. |
