Details are still rolling in, Looks like it happened in Ozan. The trooper was airlifted to Hot Springs, the also perforated shooter was airlifted to Texarkana. Link

It's a rough week on emergency personnel in Arkansas. Capt Donny Jones is being laid to rest today at noon. Prayers sent out for the trooper and his family.

word I have now is that the trooper is out of surgery and will recover totally and in short time. I haven't heard about the shooter.

Trooper is doing real well. He was sitting up and talking when they loaded him up last night. I'll keep posting as I hear more.

Bullet was stopped by his vest. Impact and angle tore up his skin. He is bruised and sore but doing fine.
