| Any of you guys going? I fly out to Vegas on Jan. 16 and get back to Little Rock on Jan. 20. I've never been to Vegas or SHOT so I'm looking forward to both. |

Its awesome, yet over whelming. Its almost impossible to see everything in the 4 days. Take lots of cash, the last day the vendors will sell you stuff out of the booth for dirt cheap. Also you will probably get the Shot Show Flu. M4Geek will be along shortly to share his experience.

The vendors would rather sell the stuff they brought for display than ship it back, so the last day, you can haggle them down on there asking price which is already much cheaper than retail. |

Niether of us drink, so we have no advice as to that. You will probably do better gambling in smaller older casinos than the newer big ones, but then again that's a gamble, is it not? ![]() The Wynn is a really nice place and the scenery is among the best. This, but be aware everything at the Wynn is $$$. But it can be worth the view.

Where would you suggest I do my drinking and gambling at in my off time from the show. If you are going to play slots, etc. my source tells me that the machines by entrances are generally set at higher payout rates to draw people in who might otherwise keep walking by. |

I find this to be true as I hit a penny slot close to the entrance for $550 last year. |

We are staying at the Luxor, and have heard some pretty decent stuff about it. I'm really looking forward to just seeing everything and enjoying myself. We were supposed to leave early Friday but we are thinking about changing our flight to later so we can go to the show on the last day

I went to SHOT in 2001 when it was in New Orleans. It was awesome. There was tons to see and like someone said earlier, it is almost impossible to see it all. We walked the entire show the first day, stopping at some of the booths briefly, but made notes on where we wanted to spend most of our time on the second day. It worked out good for us.
I managed to score a barrel and stock for a 10/22 project I was doing. Got them cheap too |
