| I'm looking for a Gunsmith in central arkansas who is willing, or wanting to teach someone the art. |
What type of gunsmithing are you wanting to get into? Many folks just specialize in a couple areas. You will also find that tools will be a limiting factor. Some of the tools required are a bit pricey for the average joe. ( I'm still trying to justify that $100 sight tool that has never been used...) I'd suggest starting with .22's. When I got started, the old man said " if you can fix a GD .22, you can fix any gun." He was spot on. Auto loading .22's are the most aggravating weapon to work on. Get yourself some old springfield, and marlin .22's that dont run. tear em' apart and figure out how they work. If you can make em' run. You just may have a future in 'smithin....
