I'm trying to find a class around the Little Rock area. Does anybody know of any classes coming up anytime soon?

Yep. Mike has a passion for teaching, and for shooting. He's excellent at both. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend him to anyone.

Another vote for Mike at Last Resort. He's top shelf and only about 45 minutes from Little Rock.

I sat in on one of his classes last year and it made the class I originally attended look like a joke. Mike goes into the material in detail, but not so much that your eyes will glaze over. He also brings in a retired Pine Bluff PD Lt. who has seen the elephant and takes you through a great segment on when the use of deadly force is warranted.

Highly recommended.

"seeing the elephant" means that he has at least one kill or be killed moment behind him.  Its hard to explain everything that goes on in the seconds that those situations last. But some people likin it to being charged by an elephant.

Ha, I've never heard that one before. Very apt term for it.

its an odd feeling whether shots are fired or not, Ive been robbed at gun point twice. Both times training took over and i was able to come through without having to perforate some Jackasses.  I learned something very important that day. When placed in a life or death situation, you WILL NOT RISE TO THE OCCASION, you will fall to your level of training. I would trust mike monk's training to see me through a gun fight.

Whew, glad you explained that. For a minute, I thought Mike knew this guy:
