| So who here lives in Benton and do you like it. Is the electric bill going to be crazy high or am I worried about it to much? How does it compare to Entergy having a co-op. I am looking at a house a few miles down Alcoa and this will be my first. I am trying to get an idea of what the normal bills will run me. |
 wait, I'm a grown man and live with mine  Where are you moving from? As far as the town goes, I liked it, I was Benton High school class of 99. Dropped out and got my GED in 98 though. Small enough that I didn't wanna do anything bad to people, big enough that everything you need is close. Good range in the area too, the Benton Gun club. It's one of the nicest around. If no one has posted an answer by tommorrow, I'll give my dad a call, he lives on the east side of Benton. |

I love it. Moved here in 97 when I ETS from the Army. No big deal on the electric you may pay a little more than if you were on a co op or something. Other pros are is real easy to get in and out of little rock! Plus you are only a few miles from the Benton Gun Club. Check out our website www.bentongunclub.org Hope this helps |

Well it is a form of a CO-OP but not a real one and the rate tend to be a little higher. I can say though I have gotten very good service from them. Back when we had the two bad ice storms I was only out of power for a few hours during the fist big outage and less then 7 hors during the last ice storm. My house just happened to be one of the last homes in the city limits and some of my neighbors that were on co-op feeds were out for 3 days during the first storm and out for over 5 days during the second storm. If you are close to Bauxite then you are not far from the BGC Range. It is located @ 5522 Mt Olive C/O Rd in Bauxite. Check us out on the web(www.bentongunclub.org) for maps membership info and pics of the range. All of our matches are oprn to the public so pick a math date and come get a close look. |
Im sure I will be joining. A couple of friends from work are members.....of the club that is. Not to mention I have a Stag that I finished up in Feb.(my first) that has yet to have 1 round through it.......................... sad really. Hell Ive been working so much I havent even shot in months.
