2 counts at that.

BeautifulStranger just found out her mom has breast cancer. It's pretty bad and we don't know if its spread to anywhere else or not. We'll find out Monday and go from there. She (Mom) is a strong woman and we're pretty sure she can lick it, but we could use some extra prayers tonight.

Dusty_C also just found out his mom has to have emergency surgery in the morning. Its also pretty bad. I'll let Dusty fill ya in on the details if he wishes, but long story short she has a pretty bad infection that went from her teeth to her head. I imagine they could use some extra prayers themselves.

Thanks man.

Details on mom.

She had 3 brain anuerysms .  They were discovered when the largest of the 3 ruptured on Dec 22 of 1999.  She'd been married 18 days.  4 months in a coma, year or so of occupational and physical therapy and she was good to go again.  Albeit with enough short term memory loss that she could never go back to nursing.

It didn't take long before things went down hill.  About 2 years ago she started blacking out randomly.  During tests to determine the cause, she had a heart attack.  Tough old hag was home 5 days later.

I got back from truck driving school last March to discover her on home oxygen.  She'd been diagnosed with CHF and Eymphasema (sp?)  Those 2 diagnosis turned out to be wrong, and her pulmonary problems while severe at first, slowly started to get better with exercise.  They still aren't fully diagnosed.

Then about June our english mastiff, Thor, knocked her off the porch, breaking her leg in a couple of places. That really slowed her recovery.

Few days ago she started having migraines.  (Migraines are bad enough as it is, but a HUGE redflag with anuerysm patients) She woke up about 3 days ago with an 8 ball hemmorhage (the eye is fully dark red, like an 8 ball, in 6 years as an EMT I never saw a living person with one)  Yesterday morning an abcess ruptured in the roof of her mouth.  She has a massive intracranial infection that's not responding to antibiotics.  In the morning she's going to the hospitial to have several teeth taken out to give them a route to where they believe the infection, and now possibly necrotic tissue is.

The biggest worry is her pulmonary problems, that and the infection spreading further, they don't know if it's actually in her brain yet.  They told us today she has a 50/50 shot.  And that if she goes down, since they'll have to take her to Conway regional she'll likely die.  (no offense to anyone that works there, but Conway regional is quite possibly the worst hospitial in the state, and I would know)

So from the looks of things, one way or another, Mom's issues will be resolved by tommorrow night.

Cowboy and BeautifulStranger are in for a long hard journey and are gonna need a lot more support than I will.  Though I doubt you'd ever catch either of us asking for more than thoughts and prayers.

I just wanted to update a little on my mom. She had a full body scan done and they found some differences in the two sides of her brain. So they did a brain scran yesterday and everything turned out normal. While thats great news they have decided they can't remove her breast because her lympnodes are too deep and they can't take them out. So they are plannin on starting her chemo soon. She will do 4 rounds of chemo and then check to see if its receeded enough to do the surgery.

so a little good news and a little bad news.

I hope she responds well to the chemo and everything will go smooth for her.

She needs a lot of support right now and I know that she will get that with

everyone thinking and praying for her.
