Anyone plan on going to the High Power state championships at Camp Robinson -- Saturday, May 20, 2006 - Sunday, May 21, 2006?

No website I can find.  But here is the program.

2006 ARKANSAS 600 YARD AND HIGH POWER RIFLE
STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Central Arkansas Gun Club         May 18,19,20,21, 2006

GENERAL INFORMATION:  Thursday morning starting at 8:00, the range will be open for squadded practice at 200, 300 and 600 yards. At 1:00 we will conduct the Any rifle- Any sight “Mac” McDonald Appreciation Match. The “Mac” is shot using the “Wimbledon” format at 600 yards. Friday, four matches at 600 yards will determine the Arkansas 600 Yard State Championship. Saturday and Sunday the Arkansas High Power Rifle championship will be decided by the aggregate of two eight hundred-point Regional match courses. T-shirts will be available for all competitors and there will be a cookout Saturday after the match. Numerous sponsors are being contacted to provide awards and door prizes.

LOCATION: Rifle Range 13, Camp Robinson, AR. Camp Robinson is located 2 miles north of I-40. Use Burns Park exit 150, three miles west of the I-30, I-40 interchange. Competitors will be required to stop at the base entrance to get a pass. Drivers license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance will be checked. This will take five to twenty minutes depending on traffic so allow time for it. Detailed directions are available if you need them.

RULES: These are NRA registered events. Current NRA rules will govern throughout the tournament.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to any individual member of the NRA. NRA memberships will be available at the range.

ENTRIES: ADVANCE ENTRIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.  You must sign in at the stat trailer and entries will close at 07:15 each day! Firing is limited to 80 competitors. Competitors shooting only one day of the across the course state championship will not be eligible for awards.  ENTRY FEES MUST ACCOMPANY THE REGISTRATION CARD FOR A VALID ENTRY.

ENTRY   Thursday: Practice: FREE “Mac McDonald” Appreciation Match: $10
FEES:   Friday: 600 Yard State Championship:  Club member $30, Non-member $35, Junior and Ladies $25
  Saturday & Sunday: Club member $60, Non-member $70, Junior and Ladies $25
  One day only: Club member $35, Non-member $40, Junior and Ladies $15

Entry fees include $5.50 NRA registration and National Guard range use fees. In the event the competitor does not fire, all entry fees except the NRA registration fee will be refunded.  Send check, money order or award points for fees.

SCORING/PITS: Competitors will score and operate targets. Any competitor failing to report for assigned pit duty when scheduled will be subject to disqualification.

CLASSIFICATION: The appropriate NRA classification system will be used in each match. Unclassified shooters will shoot in the Master class unless assigned a classification per rule 19.6.  

SQUADDING:  All matches will be squadded. Squadding will be done using shooter classifications for all shooters pre-entered. Post entries will be squadded in the order received. In the Regional Match championship, competitors will fire, both their standing and sitting matches, without leaving the firing line. Rule 11.6.7.b will not apply. Squadding tickets will be issued behind the 600-yard line at the stat trailer each day. NRA membership and classification cards must be presented before tickets will be issued. Any competitor who is not present at the proper firing point when called may lose the right to compete in that event.

RIFLES & SIGHTS: All matches: Service Rifle rules 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3
Long range: Match Rifle rules 3.2, 3.3, 3.3.1, 3.3.2, 3.3.3 Metallic sights only rule 3.7.a
RMC: Match Rifle rules 3.3, 3.3.1, 3.3.2

TARGETS: 200 yds - SR; 300 yds - SR3; 600 yds - MR1.

CATAGORIES AND CLASSES: Classes will be divided into additional categories of match rifle and service rifle if five or more of each category are shooting in that class. All entry cards must show any special awards the shooter is eligible for.

SAFETY: Open bolt empty chamber indicators are required at all CAGC events and will be available for $2.00 each. Competitors and spectators are urged to wear eye and hearing protection when appropriate.

GENERAL: There will be no break for lunch. Water and facilities will be available on the range.
COURSE OF FIRE:
Thursday:
Squadded Practice from 8am to 12pm

“Mac” McDonald Appreciation match
Registration for this match will end at 1:30. The match will start at 2:00 pm.
20 shots at 600 yards - NRA “Any Rifle – Any Sight” unlimited sighters in 30 minutes
Rifle: NRA Any Rifle rule 3.2. Cartridge case capacity is not to exceed that of a 30-06.
Position: NRA Prone rule 5.6.
Relay and target assignments will be determined by random drawing.
Top shooters from each relay will fire a 10 shot shoot off.
This match will follow the format and rules of the “Wimbledon Cup” Match.

Friday:
Arkansas 600 yard Long Range State Championship
Match 1 – 20 shots prone, 600 yd, SF, 22 min., 2 sighters. Metallic sights.
Match 2 – 20 shots prone, 600 yd, SF, 22 min., 2 sighters. Metallic sights.
Match 3 – 20 shots prone, 600 yd, SF, 22 min., 2 sighters. Metallic sights.
Match 4 – 20 shots prone, 600 yd, SF, 22 min., 2 sighters. Metallic sights.
Match 5 – Aggregate of matches 1-4. Long Range State Championship

Saturday:
Arkansas High Power Rifle Individual State Championship Day 1
Regional championship match course of fire.
Match 1a - 20 shots standing, 200 yd, SF, 22 min., 2 sighters.
Match 2a - 20 shots standing to sitting, 200 yd, RF, 60 seconds per 10 shot string, 2 sighters.
Match 3a - 20 shots standing to prone, 300 yd, RF, 70 seconds per 10 shot string, 2 sighters.
Match 4a - 20 shots prone, 600 yd, SF, 22 min., 2 sighters.

Sunday:
Arkansas High Power Rifle Individual State Championship Day 2
Regional championship match course of fire.
Match 1b - 20 shots standing, 200 yd, SF, 22 min., 2 sighters.
Match 2b - 20 shots standing to sitting, 200 yd, RF, 60 seconds per 10 shot string, 2 sighters.
Match 3b - 20 shots standing to prone, 300 yd, RF, 70 seconds per 10 shot string, 2 sighters.

Match 5 – Overall Aggregate score for matches 1a-b, 2a-b, 3a-b, and 4a-b.
Match 6 – Slow fire Aggregate score for matches 1a-b and 4a-b.
Match 7 – Rapid fire Aggregate score for matches 2a-b and 3a-b.

Please note that all awards for Saturday and Sunday are for the aggregate scores from both days of shooting. No daily awards will be given. Award points will be mailed to all winners not receiving trophies. There must be 5 or more competitors in a class for one award, 8 or more for two awards, and 13 or more for three awards. If there are less than 5 High Masters they will compete for open awards only. No competitor will be moved to the High Master class. If there are fewer than 5 entries in a class, no awards will be issued for that class; those competitors will be combined with the competitors in the next higher class. Each competitor is eligible for only one award per match. In match 6 and 7, only the overall and 1st in class winners will receive awards.

ANY NRA sponser/regulated event demans this.  Also ANY gun club that has their insurance through the NRA requires this.  That leaves you out of alot.  For $35 a year I joined the NRA so I can participate in these.  No biggie.

My club drops the NRA membership fee to $25 if you join with them.  Well worth it.
