Hello.  Anyone here able to get away during the week and shoot?  I am in Maumelle and weekends are pretty busy, but I am able to get to Mayflower during the week sometimes and shoot.  Just wanted to know if anyone else has a chance and see if you want to meet up.

YES… I can get away during the week and shoot. Shooting during the week is the best time to try and do it in Mayflower. I live around Vilonia and Mayflower is where I shoot when I go to a range. IM me and let me know when you’re going to go next time and maybe we can meet there. I know you have said AK’s “ feel short to you” maybe I will bring my NHM-91 and we can see about changing your mind. See what a good idea posting in your home town forum was maybe we can get some more going on here in the Arkansas forum. Who knows?

Thanks ya'll.  I have a wife and a 3 year old who I try to spend time with on the weekend.  So Being how I'm in a sales job, it is lots easier to shoot during the week.  I know I have met Kikilee there.  Yes I would like to try an AK.  I know I'll be in Mayflower next Fri afternoon cause my Dad is coming up and We need to sight in his new Encore.

I normally work all week but if I could get acess to a welder to finish my first ak build, I would take the time off to test fire it. I'm sure it will work flawlessly, everything seems to be in order but I'm afraid this friday is prob too soon for me. I just don't see me getting the welding time in before then.

Ok ya'll, I went to the Benton Gun Club and shot their IDPA match Saturday,  (took first in my class btw, never shot IDPA before)  anyway,  I was pretty impressed. They have a pretty nice set up.  From what I gather, they are class 3 friendly.  They are out in the middle of nowhere on Alcoa land.  I'm going to join as soon as I get the funds.  I think it'd be a great place to have a shoot.  Guests of members are allowed, don't know if there is a limit to number of guests.  Much better than Mayflower I know that.

Nope, no class III. They keep voting it down at their meetings. Too many people already shooting up all the target stands. Hate that i missed the match. They are some great guys to shoot with.  It was the first one since the summer that I missed. I am also going to miss the 3 gun match they are having there this weekend. There is an IDPA match at CASA once a month as well - you will see some familiar faces from Benton.  CASA is Class III friendly.

Yea, I would not mind if they allowed class III, just so it would be restricted to one or two ranges. Problem is there are a lot of target stands out there, especially on the plinking range, and those would end up torn up. I think all of the guys that do a lot of bench rest shooting are the supportors for it not getting passed.

Hello KD5TXX,

I’m going to try and get over to Mayflower Friday afternoon 10/28/05. If I do get buy there I will let the guy that checks me in know that I may be meeting someone there. If you do the same then we should be able to find each other. I will bring a couple of AK’s and lots of ammo. Hopefully I will see you there.

Hello, I'll be there with my Dad.  We will be sighting in his new Encore for deer hunting.  I'll also be trying to sight in my M4 and probably have a garand or M1A with me.  Hope its not real busy.
