| I'm wanting a barrel made for my HK91, anyone know of a gunsmith that could handle a job like that and not break me. |

Just wanted you to know that I am not ignoring your post, I just can't think of a gunsmith that does that. Could you be more specific, i.e. are you wanting to buy a replacement bbl and have it fitted or are you wanting someone to build you a bbl from scratch to a particular spec? Hardin's here in Jonesboro has a gunsmithing school trained gunsmith (Jim Ed Hardin) who is a really nice guy, and Al at Al's Lock and Key has done some great work for me on Ruger and Remington bolt guns. That's about all I can tell you about this area. Good luck! Paul |

I'm wanting to have a heavy barrel on my 91. It has the standard 'skinny' profile and 18" barrel and I'm wanting to have a heavier 22"-25". I've check with Murrey Urbach in Dallas and his are running around $700-$900, and was just wondering if someone local could build one ( from a blank or whatever, as long as it's timed and has the camber fluted correctly). And glad ya mentioned about having a Ruger built, I got a Ruger 77 that if I keep I want to have it tricked out, and J'boro isn't that far away. What work did ya have done and how happy with it. Thanks for the help. |
| Hey fellas, I kinda got a question along the same line. Does anyone know a gunsmith in AR who could cut down my 16" M-4 barrel to 14.5" and add a phantom? My usual smith got a little skittish about the whole SBR thing and said he didnt feel comfortable doing it. I dont want to have to send it outta state to do it, but unless you guys have any options that's what I'll do. Thanks. |
