I'll be visiting next week. My father in law passed away and will be staying for a week, services and helping out my wife and lovely mother in law. Kid you not, she is the best MiL one could ever have.

Anyhow, I will be in north east Nebraska, Norfolk to be specific. And I know I will need time away from the farm.

Sorry to hear about your FIL.

I'm originally up from around there. Not sure what you could do other than visit Norfolk's gun stores and pawn shops. Maybe visit Yankton and Gavin Points Dam. Thats all I got for now. I'm sure other people can chime in.

No, I didn't. Was up there last month and scored a few black diamond melons. With wild plums that ate now jelly. My MIL is a wonderful lady and I must treasure her. She lives on a farm, going to go morning rabbit hunting in the soybeans.

If we don't get much of a cold spell by then, you could try for some doves too. There seems to be plenty of them down here closer to Omaha.
I hit 8-10 of them with my car on my way to work last week.

If you're up for a drive, visit Hornady Manufacturing for a factory tour.

SAC musuem outside Omaha is supposed to be great. Omaha Zoo is fantastic as well.
