| I am looking at start a Trust for some NFA fun. I have been looking around the web and in the Class III Armory on here. I have found some templates and a lot of discussion on Google. I am looking for some guidance. Has anyone written their own Trust? Any pointers if I take this on by myself? I have found guntrust.com and they seem to be the go to place on the net. Does anyone know of any NFA lawyers in the Lincoln area. I am trying to avoid high cost options since I have a little boy on the way and I am saving up just to get the stamp. But in no way do I want to go about doing the trust in the wrong way. I don’t want to get anyone involved in any legal issues someday. |

This is just my opinion, but your best bet may be to move anywhere but Lancaster Co. I "think" that's the only place in NE that you have problems getting a cleo signature. I suspect that trusts will soon be functionally useless, as you'll need to get a cleo signature even with the trust. If you can't get one now, you probably won't get one for a trust. Just my .02

are you a member of the NFOA? if so, there's a member there that can help you. he's done work for me and its reasonably priced for NFOA members.

Just my .02 Thats why I want to get the Trust started now and get the the form 1 turned in. I have a little while before the ATF makes the new ruling on Trusts. I don't even have the lower yet. My plan is to get my stamp pending get a 80% lower and finish it after i get the stamp. This build is going to be long term for me but I the way I see it I need to get the ball rolling now. As far as moving out of Lancaster Co. well its on my dream list. I would love to find myself a nice little area to set up a 2-300 yard range on. But unless hit the bigone on Saturday thats not going to happen. |

Call American Reaper Arms 402-910-4931 use Dick Clark Law for a good trust. I spoke with Dick yesterday seems to be a nice guy. His price is pretty good. What does reaper armd have to offer? i think goingpostal might be a little biased when it comes to Reaper Arms. i have done 3 stamps (all cans, 2 in the system now) through Scott @ Reaper. he's a great guy, great service, and great prices. highly recommended. i and other NFOA'ers have also used Dick's trusts. |

Forgive me OP if I'm reading it wrong but in your post above you mention completing an 80% lower and the stamp. You know you don't need a stamp to complete an 80% lower right? Or are you going to SBR it.....?? I am going to SBR a 80% lower that I have not manufactured yet. I want to get my stamp because of near future change in requirements. Next year sometime I will get the lower and build it up. |

I checked out Reaper website and it seems pretty simple but he also says he is the lowest prices in the state. Right now as much as I would like to get a can I am going to stick with the SBR. |
| I would completely finish an 80% lower before getting it registered as an SBR. If something happens during the finishing or engraving process that messes it up and leaves it as a paper weight your going to be extremely pissed about all the time and money you wasted. |

his website isn't the best. his facebook page is where its at.

He told me 200-300 range. Im sure he does a great job but it sucks that the trust is the cost of the stamp. I can't speak highly enough of Dick Clark. He is a GREAT guy and is very thorough in his Trust preparation. I had my first Trust prepared by a dealer and while it passed the NFA test it was NOT up to par IMO after seeing what a real NFA specific Trust looks like. $250 is cheap considering the piece of mind that you get from Dick and not having to worry about it being correct for our State. I would check around for dealers on suppressors and not be afraid to do a transfer. I have become jaded with the NFA dealers in Nebraska and feel there isn't enough competition to allow for local prices to be what they should be. |
