Well boils and ghouls I am now the proud owner of an American Trigger Corp.  AR GOLD drop in trigger! Very nice piece of work. Excellent craftsmanship, solid as hell, and talk about light!!!  I have been so used to my old reliable stock Bushy trigger, I had no idea there were animals like this out there! Install was a no brainer. Out with the old trigger, remove the selector and in with the new trigger. I think it took me  a total of 5 minutes!  two of which was me sitting there going....so thats it?...

My only worry is the difference. Like I said, I am so used to my rough tough heavy AR stock trigger, that something like this seems more like  a  surgical instrument than a part of my Bushy ammo eatin monster. I am sure I will get used to it, but WOW!!! What a really massive difference!!!

So much of tricking out your AR seems superficial and ...well.....more like the Harley effect. You know, this is MY bike, it doesn't look anything like that other soft tail!!  I am as big a culprit of superficial individuality regarding my AR. But this is....WOW...

I haven't actually had range time with it, but that will change in the morning!

Range report:

OH MY FREAKIN GOD!!!

Wow!!! I'm still in the WOW!!! stage.   Put 30 rounds of Wolf into an HK mag and hit the range. Shot offhand at 130yards. All I can say is that I have a lot to retrain myself on.

The take up was minute! Once I had a little weight on the trigger I squeezed, and as I was THINKING about  squeezing, it went off!!! WOW!!!
The second shot was a little weird because of the short take-up. I felt like I broke something. But same thing . BANG!  It's the take-up that gets me every time. Its a little loose, so I feel like after every shot I have broken something! The other thing I'm not used to is how I am so used to the gritty heavy pull of my prior trigger , this one seems like an alien in my rifle. There is literally no overtravel, and if there is , I can't notice it because of the lock up time!!! The trigger is ready immediately after each pull.
Now the other thing is the follow up shots. I was getting to the point in my shooting skills where I was accurate enough that I wanted to increase my speed. So I was doing a lot of practice trying to do quick double taps for short range stuff. Doing that with this new trigger will take some getting used to. I was so used to squeezing as hard and as fast as I could to get  that follow up shot, that when I did it with this new trigger I was holding the trigger too long. I need to re-train myself now to do it a little quicker and with less force.

All in all I am very satisfied so far. I can't say that I think everyone should go out and buy a $270 trigger, but if you can, you will be really surprised at the difference!! !I know I am!!! I will update this as I get more rounds through it!!!!   Frickin cool......
