I'm planning a road trip that'll take me through Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and (a small part of) Missouri, where I'll be staying for a few days. What CCW laws do I need to be aware of?
For example, in NM, we can CCW in church, in package liquor stores & grocery stores, but not in .gov buildings of ANY sort, nor in bars or resturants serving liquor for on-site consumption. What's it like in your state, assuming NM has repricprocity? Thanks for the info! |

The best place to do the research is probably the Kansas Attorney General's Web Site. link: http://www.ksag.org/content/page/id/90
Here is a comprehensive list of places that Concealed Carry is prohibited by the KS CCH laws. link: http://www.ksag.org/files/shared/conceal.carry.prohibited.pdf In Kansas as with many states, business owners or organizations can post their establistment prohibiting concealed carry on their grounds. link: http://www.ksag.org/files/shared/concealcarrysignage.pdf Hope this helps, have fun on your road trip. |
| New Mexico is a recognized state for reciprocity. Any business that displays the exact required signage prohibiting lawful concealed carry is off limits. Casinos, race tracks, any state owned building and anything enumerated in federal law is also off limits. More info can be found at Kansas Concealed Carry |
