Okay everybody, let's get this going!

How many Nebraskans are there here? This includes relocated and exiled as well as current residents.

Once a Nebraskan always a Nebraskan.

I relocated to western Colorado from McCook about 13 years ago. I still go back every couple of years to visit family and friends. Sis lives in Kearney, so I always show up there as well.

So? Who and where are you?

You know, I just noticed. Why is it all youse guys are still living, and plan on staying 'til the end, where you grew up?

But then I never really planned on leaving McCook 15 yrs ago either.

Guess Nebrs. have a good sense of home and family, huh?

Nebraska 77,358 Square Miles, 1,713,235 people. Now if we could just give Omaha and sub-burbs to Iowa that would get rid of roughly a half a million people and would be close to perfect.

Now keep in mind that our 5th largest city is only 27,431 people.

Another benifit is that people from California don't like to move here.

All in all I don't see the downside

I agree with David.  I think we should give Omaha to Iowa, that and South Souix City, hehe.  David is also right about people from California not liking to move here because there really is nothing pretty to look at, well unless you get up into the northwestern part of the state.  The weather also sucks 95% of the year, so that tends to cull out the weak.

I really can't put my finger on it, maybe its just that it's home, but I just feel very comfortable here in Lincoln.  You don't run into idiots very often here, rarely is there ever any stupid legislation brought up

However, if I were to chose another state that is really cool, it would have to be North Dakota, very cool up there.  Cold as hell part of the year, but the state still is tied to the past and its roots in a lot of ways, very different.

Lincoln by way of Ticonderoga, New York; Grand Forks, North Dakota; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Memphis, Tennesee and a couple minor places in between.  Lincoln by far has been the best....

Lincoln here.  At least the husker football team isn't located in a quasi-socialist town like boulder. Can you even get into boulder if you aren't driving a range rover?

I was born and raised in North Platte.  I joined the army after high school, but I visit my parents every year in North Platte.  I am stationed in Georgia now.  I usually come home every summer, because its always too darn cold any other time of year.  I will probably be coming home around May. I want to try to do some fishing.  The white bass and walleye are usually biteing pretty good by then.
