| are there AR15 shops/ammo stores near Valentine, NE..i could only find Lock,Stock&Barrel, but can't tell if they stock AR15s/parts...thanks for your help |
Haven't been to Valentine in several years, if you are visiting there and anticipate the need for parts I believe you will be mostly likely S.O.L. Ammo can be had almost anywhere. |

Beautiful country, course I grew up in the Sandhills so I may not be the one to have an objective viewpoint. They have been getting more rain this year so it should be greener than the past couple years. I'll see this July when I load up the weapons and spend 3 days burning ammo There are many things to do and see, they aren't as publicized as other "tourist" friendly places. Many people go crazy cause there isn't the more urbanized america ammenities, but that is fine by me. Its more simpe, laid back and easy going. |
The lack of urbanization is the big apeal for me. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado and now live in Metro Phoenix......Seriously hoping to be able to move or at least buy some property there in the next year or two. Big thing for me is how are the shooting sports? I like IPSC, IDPA, 3 gun, etc |
For those you will have to travel; David could probably answer that better than I could (I don't compete). The local gun clubs would have trap shooting, maybe some long range rifle shooting (they love their coyote rifles). |

Update: Restaurants - Peppermill Grill (lunch ok, dinner don't order french fried shrimp), Jordans (?) and Bunkhouse (hamburgers ok) Motel - Comfort Inn ($60/night with free continental breakfast) Lock Stock and Barrell - limited quantities/selection of Hornady ammo (sells tribal hunting licenses) |
Cool, thanks for the info... I may seriously be moving up there as my brother is working in Valentine again; just have to figure out what I would do to make a living there..... |
