I made it this far through the shortage with about 6000 rounds of 9 mm but I'm getting pretty short. I'm down to about 500 rounds now, anybody seen any in bulk? gonna be headed to Anchorage here in about a week. Anybody seen any?
TIA, Darkop |

Met a local guy a few weeks back who has been loading 9mm and other calibers. He used to load tons of it for 1 or several PD's down in OR i believe it was. Ammo By Design 907-350-1330 (Clayton) [email protected] |

And in Sportsman's last week the counterguy rolled his eyes when I told him I reload 9mm. That odd brick of primers I find every once in a while lasts a long time. There's a reason they work behind the counter. I get great pleasure inviting them to a match so I can watch them squirm and come up with excuses on why they can't make it. There are exceptions of course but I suspect most of them can't shoot fer shite. I reloaded about 3k 9mm last week. |

I reload all my Percision rifle stuff And 10 mm but usually Buy my bulk 9mm, .45 & 5.56. I did a lot of training this winter and burned through. About 6000 rds of 5.56 and 6000 9mm. I'm still OK on 5.56 but am very low on 9mm. Hoping that this drought passes soon!
If anyone sees bulk ammo show up again please post up! Until that day, Darkop |

Where are you guys getting bullets for reloading? I order mine from Montana Gold. They ship free in USPS flat rate boxes. Much cheaper than buying in state. Keep checking their web site as they update it whenever they have bullets in stock and they sell fast. I got a case of 3750 a couple months back, had to go to the Post office to pick it up. Guess it was a little heavy. 124 grains x 3750 / 7000 = 66.42 lbs. http://montanagoldbullet.com/ |

Quoted: They have to go hazmat dont they? They will ship them flat rate if you order smaller QTY's. Some sites say they have to go hazmat, some don't. AFF didn't consider them hazmat either. We shot a bunch down in Whittier for the 4th of July shoot. They light a LOONGG distance |

Palmetto State had 6k boxes of Hornady 55gr bullets for $600. Only 9mm I've seen lately has been at GNG, but they were limiting to 2 ea 50 rd boxes per day per person. Thanks for the heads up I forget about Great Northern Guns, they usually have some sitting on the floor I'll be in town on the 25th and 26th I'll go check them out thanks again Until that day, Darkop |

I want to say it was $24 or $25/box but I could be wrong. Didn't pay real close attention as I have all my bank account will allow.
I should have been selling 9mm, 5.56 and .22LR for the past 6 month$. But then I wouldn't have it. Of course there is always the line at SW tomorrow, although if I remember correctly their warehouse move/shutdown isn't over, so no shipments yet. Or this might be the first weekend with shipments again. But I don't need ammo, and they don't pin flashhiders or sell AI mags, so no matter. ETA: Darkop, take friends. Friends with cash. 9 friends is almost like bulk... |

Yup. That was the same 9mm ammo I saw last time I was there. I just didn't remember it was Blazer Brass, and lately they have had American Eagle and PMC more than anything.
And Yup, 2 box (100 round) limit per person per day, at least for the 9mm. If you pay with a card, no one else in your group can use that card. Someone tried that today while I was there; 3 guys, and after the first purchase the next guy tried to buy but pay with the first guy's credit card. 'Nope, but there is a ATM at the Holiday'.' They were polite about it, and didn't seem to care if you bent the 100 rd rule, you just couldn't actively break the rule. So give your buddies the cash before you go in. They don't have any .22LR unless you buy a gun in .22LR. I don't think they had any .40, .45, or 5.56/.223, but I didn't look or ask. There was some .45ACP +P hard cast last week at a couple places in town (Northern Security and GNG); it was Buffalo Bore 20 round boxes and NOT cheap. I think it is all gone. You might try Ammo Can; Lou has had a bunch of different ammo in lately. Or WWG, although Ken has been pretty quiet over on Alaska Outdoors Forum compared to prior shortages. Probably too busy making TV shows. Last place I saw with bulk .22LR was Lethal Weapons Guns at $100/brick. Yowza! But it is right there on the shelf. There is a show at Lumen Christi soon, and a unreliable rumor that someone may bring at least several cases of .22LR. If so it will be less than recent shows (~$85/brick) , but still ~2x of pre-Panic pricing. |

Quoted: Fuck this place Lethal Weapons Guns at $100/brick. Assbag is just buying from other fucksticks on Alasksalist then just marking it up more. DIE IN A FIRE. Capitalism. Supply/Demand. Maybe get to it on Alaskaslist first? Don't like it don't buy it. If nobody buys it price will come down. Everybody is going crazy and buying everything they see and creating all of this. |

And still sitting on 6K of .22 I stocked up quite well in the last 7 years at non inflated prices. Last winter I got 11 cases of M193 @ $360 a thousand. I don't suppose I'll ever see it that cheap locally ever again! I won't buy at WWG Until that day, Darkop |
