| Is there anywhere to buy Cerakote on Oahu? Mahalo |
|
X ring is the only shop I found on Oahu that does Cerakote, a few problems though-
They are closed until FEB. ( as of 11 JAN) When they were open, they didn't have any Cerakote in stock, were waiting on shipments They stopped Cerakoting due to the panic buying until further notice Pricing was debatable, they quoted me $300-$350 for a pistol ( $150 for slide, $150 for lower, $50 for assembly, etc). I like X Ring , but that's a high price.

| Made it there, will post later, and I will IM the shops and phone numbers but in a nutshell only two places in HI, near Honolulu. One certified, one not. And if you have a problem getting it yourself, I have a contact number to someone who will remember your problem and personally take care of it. No shortages were mentioned, more later. |

Seriously appreciate the effort, Thank You!! I was going to buy some Cerakote in Georgia a few months ago and bring it back with me, but still have the application challenge. |
| Yeah, the info is on the Cerakote website. IDK the whole story behind E-Tac, but from what I've heard one of the guys started Red Letter Industries. They had a booth at the last gun show and I talked to them about doing some Cerakote work on my SLR. Same address as listed on the Cerakote site. |

In fact the rep used the website to locate the shops, like anyone else. Thing is reps don't work on the floor, floor guys don't do sales, sales guys don't do.... Talking to a rep at the show doesn't mean they know everything about what's going on with there company. Best news is that he knows of no shortages beyond the current and increasing shortages of things like firearms and ammo components.
