the skate are alot of work to bring up just to release...gray cod another disapointment and waste of time

Didn't get back to them until after fishing on Tuesday so about 2. If I ever catch someone pulling my pots I will do everything in my power to make sure all of South Central AK knows who the thieving bastards are. 
ETA: on the bright side, I had 5 days of flat ass calm weather to fish. Don't think that will happen again. |

We broke 4 lines today and there were only 2 of us fishing. There was something big at the bottom that kept biting our line and we couldn't get it to the surface. The 4th time we hooked it, I was reeling in so slow I still would not have it up even now and about 15 meters (the reel has a counter on it) off the bottom, it snapped for the 4th time.
