That is what the IRS is taxing all fuel out here. They just dropped the bomb on the Fuel Farms. The tax will stay till the IRS has decided it will be ineffect till they do a study. So save you receipts for a refund from the buggers. As yet i do not know if this is affecting any where else. |

I wish to understand more of your statement, but your sentence structure prevents me from knowing what you are talking about.. Who is they? where are the fuel tanks being bombed? Are you stationed in the Persian Gulf? If so, please attempt to translate the regional verbiage into civilian language. |

Forget that people that do not live in the bush call them distributors. Fuel farms are they distributors. IRS is simple.
They just dropped that $0.244 out of the blue on the distributors. |

Holy crap 25 cents a gallon is HUGE, especially in the bush What did they say the tac was for? I would call Don Young's office ASAP and see if he can help. This will literally strangle many villages Story is in the Delta Discovery. Tried to find it but their site is .
I do not know if it is going to hit the villages. Also not sure why they added the tax. |

A recent report concluded that bush Alaska fuel prices, by far the highest in the nation, are mostly due to logistics expenses such as the barge and big storage tank in town.
$0.244/gallon is the current US federal fuel tax rate for highway diesel. These taxes are used to build and maintain freeways, bridges, etc. Alaska is the only state in the union with zero state fuel tax, and until recently fuel destined for the bush was exempt from federal tax as well, due to the obvious fact that THERE AIN'T NO FEDERAL FREEWAYS IN BETHEL. However, the federal tendrils are beginning to extend into the Alaska bush, like Manley's shiny new shuttle, paid for with "free" federal money. And so the feds are starting to tax even the bush: all that free money turns out to be not so free after all... |

We are gonna get raped with Uncle Ted gone now. |

Actually, Alaska has an $0.08 per gallon fuel tax Oops! That's what I get for doing research on Wikipedia: they haven't updated their table for the September 2009 reinstatement of the Alaska state fuel tax. Our state fuel tax rate is still the lowest in the nation. |
