Hi,
I just finished my black rifle project. I started with a DPMS lower and built it up with a 20" stainless RRA flat top upper. Although I'm still wanting better optics (I have a cheap 5x scope on it now) she's a tack driver out to 100 yards (1/4 MOA). I'm dying to get her bloody. Does anyone want to try and get in some coyote hunting this winter? I have never done it before and don't have a clue as to where to go but I'm willing to drive and buy gas to take along someone who does. Reply to this post or PM me if interested. - Bob |

different kind of skinning when you skin animals for the pelts like a canine they come out like a tube.
there is an air compressor method that is supposed to make short work of it
don't eat them unless you are dying and need the protein rizzo in the hunting forum ate one I think its a sticky |

Quoted:
I hear them howling all the time where I am, Maud Rd. Seen lots of tracks when I'm cruising the trails on my 4 wheeler but never seen anything standing in them. Might be a good place to try. Early morning and late evening is when I hear them. How far out Maud Rd? Are there public lands there where we can hunt? |

Turns into a trail at the 2nd lake. Trail will take you a couple more miles. Or go out on the lake to Jim Creek and you can go to the Knik River, Jim Lake or even the Knik Glacier from there if you like. The howling I hear couldn't be more than a mile or so from my house. I live about a half mile from where the pavement ends. I see tracks all over the place out on the lakes and trails. There were lots of rabbits over the years out there also but don't know how they are this year. Lots of rabbits usually = lots of predators. |

do you need a truck or would a subaru ouback make that place back by knik river? cant say i know alot about that area cept operation "hear banjo music" it entails 30 rounds of 5.56 in direction of sound, roll right, reload, and evaluate...repeat as nessicary..
Snow machine is your best bet right now. I've done it on a 4 wheeler or my wife's polaris 6 wheeler. Don't worry about the banjo pickers. They won't make you squeal like a pig or tell you how purty your mouth is. |
