There is an AR15 that is being sold on atleast one other forum catering to Alaskans
This rifle is advertised as both as Les Baer Ultimate AR and a Les Baer AR. It is being sold at Les Baer prices $2390 MSRP vs $2000 used asking price, whereas the Upper and Lower togthers sell for ~$300 MSRP It is neither. It is a Les Baer stripped upper and lower that were built into a kit rifle with model 1 sales parts. Being fair, he probably has $1000 tied up into this rifle. Be cautious if you are looking at ANY AR's and make sure that they are truly what they are represented as. 1) If there is no box available with a serial number that matches the gun, that is a red flag. Granted not everyone keeps the box, but a box with a mathing gun = factory 2) If the upper and lower are different colors, that can be a red flag 3) Most Colt AR's come 1-9 twist from the factory, so if someone is selling one that is a different twist, something isnt right If there is any question, call the manufacture and ask them if the serial number was a complete gun when it left or if it was sold as a complete lower or a stripped lower. |

uafgrad, thanks for posting this.... I was in the gunshop when this person bought the stripped upper and lower and I over heard him say that he was going to build it with M1S parts!
I think it's pretty shitty for him to post it up as a LBC rifle too! I hope nobody gets screwed with that rifle! - Clint |
