Ive always wanted to live out that way. Is there much of a job market , housing? Not much of a job market and housing is out of the world. Gallon of milk is close to $11.00 and gas is $5.59. Only way anybody can really make it out here is with 2 people working very good jobs. If working for FAA or state is only real way. |

Wow , I expected higher costs but thats nuts , I just like to be out and away from the "mall culture" , I prefer the company of a good dog or hunting buddy to 10,000 people headed to McDonalds....Been thinking about the outlying areas around Fairbanks as well...I appreciate the info |

bethel Ahh. Paris on the Kuskokwim . . . That's not what I have heard it called.
Could call it the armpit of alaska. But you have to be a little crazy to live here. I would not live in Anc or the valley. Just to many people. Plus you can jump in a boat anytime in summer and go anywhere same with snogo. It takes something different to live out here. |
