This could be a good thing.

May has been posted as a good month for some. I'm OK with this.

Anchorage or Fairbanks?
This month or that?

If we can get a solid plan in place (so us planners can plan for it) then I'm in. Either place is fine with me; Birchwood is always a great place to hold things in Anchorage. But I guess it all depends on location numbers for the locals. Rip & I can carpool

Now the ball is rolling.
I'm OK with Fairbanks and would enjoy the chance to play with Others toys.

I'll offer up some ammo. A combined total of 1,000 rounds or more of .22 9mm 45acp .223 and 7.62 M80 ball and my toys for your enjoyment.

2 Shooters in Fairbanks can make a shoot up there.
2 Shooters in Anchorage are willing to make the trip up to Fairbanks.
1 Flyboy

in Bethel wants all of us to go there for a Shoot.

So overall 5 of us want to do a shoot some place.

Where are the comments from the other AK ARFcom'ers?

I'm still in no condition to shoot.

However, I hope that if there is enough interest I can set up another Birchwood shoot later this summer.

If you setup a Shoot this Summer @ Birchwood, I'll be there.
I know you are reduced to being a Left-Handed Shooter at this time.
I'll shoot Lefty with you.

of the two the only possibility would be Anchorage and with work there is only a 5% chance of making that

Myself and atacdale66 can make a shoot June 2-11 time frame up in FBX if that's the decided place. It'd be wise to get the dates pretty firm so that we can all plan ahead & make a good shoot.

I've never been to a range there; is there a place to park our camper if we want to make a day/night of it

I've only shot at Anderson myself.

Me and Mrs. Bananas have a statewide event that we're working on through the first weekend in March, then to Vegas for training (really). After that we can join in the fun...

I'm told that the Anderson shoot is being planned for Memorial Day this year. All shooters are welcome of course and the semi/bolt guns usually end up hitting the lion's share of the explosives.

One of the other posters on this form is the co-chair. Perhaps he'll post additional info.

I bought another 15,000rds of PMC .223 today & will happily bring some to the shoot in FBX for anyone who needs some

Hey Guys,
I'm also interested in a shoot. I am stuck in Point Lay through April. So May or later is best for me. Birchwood is a stones throw from my place ( I like the sound of gunfire in the afternoon).

Looking like the best place to do it in Fairbanks would be at the Chena Hot Springs Rd. Range

Nothing fancy, but would keep some of the riff raff away that we would likely have at South Cushman
Plus there is ample opportunity for camping if you are so inclined and a bon fire is defintely a must if the wind and fire alert level indicate that is is kosher

It will be on the left side of the road
Small sign marking it
Its VERY basic, but on the bright side you dont have to deal with the homies shootin the 9's like you do @ S. Cushman

Sounds like we need to host shoots at Fairbanks and Anchorage this summer. I'm opening up my schedule for an early June shoot in Fairbanks and a late August shoot in Anchorage. Sound fun

It's a fun thing but I think we are all competitive at heart even while having fun.

Wish there was something set in stone, I'd bring some of our rifles up for people to shoot.

Uafgrad, my kids live in anchorage, so i come up as often as possible. too bad its not fishing weather yet, but we're having fun here.
