The Japanese did make it to the mainland, or close, there were a couple subs found. There are remnants of a gun emplacement at Caine's head, a light emplacement directly across the bay at what is called the iron doors, and a look out station on Barwell Island. There are a few other sites as well. Not alot of artifacts like on the Aleutians though. |
