I am headed to Alaska on July 1 and couldn't be more excited.  Goin to do some Halibut fishing in Homer Bay and king salmon fishing on the Kenai river.  We are chartering with Harry Gaines.  My dad has been fishing with them twice ('87 & '94) and caught some seriously huge fish.  Anyway just wanted to share the great news.   I'm Psyched!!

Homer's a lovely town and you dont have to fight crowds on halibut charters.  Kenai river?  Different story.  Hope you have a great time.

We have been doing well with Halibut and Kings, the reds are coming in around the point and should not be much longer.  I had some red salmon from a local restaurant last week and it was great.  No big crowds.
