This might be a stupid question, but is there any Federal M-193 to be found up here??

Neils at gunrunners had some I bought a dozen boxes or so awhile back.  Since then, I've been looking for the heavy black hills stuff.

I did pick up almost a full case of winchester Q3131 at Sportsmans Warehouse the other day.  They insist they'll get more in soon.  Is that the same as 193, I can't remember.

Like most ammo, I can get it.  But you'd need to buy at least 10 cases to make it worth your while.  If you just want a little bit, check around local & see what you can find.

10 cases!!!! I think I just found another reason to buy more ar's!!!  That is about what I expect to get out of my new RRA!  I guess I need to buy more guns to justify buying that much ammo
I wonder what the shipping on that would be?

It's called a group buy.  Get the cases and sell off what you don't want.  Get some friends who want some and everybody goes in on the order and split the shipping.

How much is 10 cases? Me and 3 other people I know will go in on some. Add a few more people and it might be worth it. I've been shooting Federal AE at about $100.00 for 500 and it is getting damn expensive. I might do 4-5 cases my self.

Might need a group buy on some Tannerite to. Thats also getting damn expensive.

My consolidator (SPAN Alaska) gave me price breaks at around 5 cases I think.  The more you ship, the cheaper the rates of course.  If you are willing to shoot the cheap ass stuff (Wolf), that can be had for $129/1000.

I guess Sportsmans Guide is currently offering a shipping sale - shipping to Alaska at regular express prices.  I think even when they don't, it's something like $180-$230 extra for freighting it up or something along those lines.  Just be careful of what you order from them (know which is the good ammo) and don't let them substitute for crappy ammo if they are out (sometimes SOP with them).

Sounds like it's time to get an Alaskan group ammo buy started...

Dan Tanner provides special rates for Tannerite when bought in large quantity I believe.  Very large quantity...

there is q3131a and m193 in small quanities at gator guns in kenai.  I think he had a few cases lying around.  Evn had some old chinasports 7.62x39.

I think the federal was $125 for 500 rds.
