| Starting a new job in Pella in March, not very familiar with the area other than the Knoxville area for the traces. I am a northwest Ia (Laurens/ Marathon) native but left in 1985. I am interested in a acreage/rural area but would like some opinions on what towns/areas are better than others. I have had CCL's in both TX and AR where I now live. Are county sheriffs allowed to restrict anyone for anything and which counties would you stay away from? Pheasant, deer, and quail here I come, Looking forward to coming home and enjoying that freezing ass cold again. Thanks for any info, I appreciate the help! |

Iowa went from "may issue" to "shall issue" a while back. Huge increase in permits, no increase in gun deaths.
We almost got significant gun law changes last year, doing away with no NFA and standardizing the permit to carry across the state. Didn't happen, the insect overlords got too caught up in how much more money to waste on other things. It will happen. Already planning my Form 1 activities for when we're allowed(!) to buy suppressors like the 41 states that currently allow them. |
