A guy I used to work with texted me he has a dpms for $550 for sale. When I asked more about it he said "It has a red dot scope 4 clips and a case." |

You should probably get it. Just to be safe.
Or you could get a "Iraq bring back" dpms for $450. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/ardpms-01.aspx |
| I have a 20" dpms no issues mine isn't a tack driver but it does what I need it to if you have the cash why not if he's a good friend if he is just a acquaintance you could always offer $500 cash people always get excited when they see that stack of cash wouldn't hurt to keep a extra one around and since the ar15 is like Legos for men you can always change whatever does not work 100% for you |

That thing never left the country. If I wanted a fucking beater I would have lifted my service weapon. |

Can't you get a DPMS 'sportcal' or whatever model w/ the slickside upper for that kind of money brand new? I found some: Oracle: $559 Classic: $570 (w/ case, 4 mags, and 100 rds. of ammo) Lo-Pro Classic: $610 Panther Lite: $600 Yes and op id find out what model it is 550 doesnt sound like much of a deal to me |

Seems like a whole host of people buying cheap PSA builds/ Sportcals, etc. and trying to hawk them on local boards/FB for even money after using them if not for a profit. There are tons of ARs for sale. The bottom has dropped out of the market. Too many panic buys. |

I love the 200$ psa upper deals I really need to jump on one I wish I'd jumped on the sub-$350 Colt M16A1 uppers a couple years ago. I prefer the carry handle uppers, and have always wanted an A1 clone, now it's a case of forget about it. The PSA uppers are great if you want a carbine, thought about getting one just because of that, but then I'd still have a rifle that's different than what I wanted. |

| I passed. Ended up being A-15 model. The magazine release side was stamped LE Military use only . Wasn't a flat top either. I didn't look at the brand of mags........ooops I mean clips! He had one Pmag with it which I own a few but still seem to use my GI one's. The only thing I saw I liked was the badger style tactical charging handle which is a upgrade must for me. Also had Magpul AFG on it some after market hand gaurd YHM flip up front sight and a Huge BSA red dot. The guy hasn't had a job for a year and has and sat and told me how he has just been selling stuff to make money after I told him I wasnt interested. He kept saying the new price of it but that kept changing also! I knew the guy and his family for years and they are definitely salesman but I thought I had the upper hand since they dont know much about guns except they go bang. Im no expert but knew enough to walk away |

Im no expert but knew enough to walk away AFAIK all DPMS lowers are model A-15 so that doesn't explain much. Never seen LE only markings on a DPMS. Go back, offer $400, part it out and keep the lower. |
