| Thinking about heading down and taking my 2 boys (age 2 and 6). I have not seen the thunderbirds since the Quincy IL show where they got hail damage on their planes. Anything I should be aware of as I have never been to the Waterloo airport? |

Went to it a couple of years ago and it was pretty good.
Instead of getting to the airport from the south as you normally would, they had you get off Hwy 218 at Lone Tree Road (exit 189) north of Cedar Falls and west of the airport. Not at all a big deal, just something to know, and of course, they might not do that this year. Don't remember what the price to get in was, but don't remember it being too bad. Worth going to. |
