Called Rick Green, the editor at Des Moines Register. I wasn't surprised some one else answered the phone, some flunkie.
I asked why they would post that kind info on the internet. The girl said " well, umm ah to the tax payers umm..." Yup thats how she talked to me, a lot of hemming and hawing. After 30 seconds of this bull shit. I ripped into her. Told her that they were trying create another Sandy Hook incident. After Donald Kaul saying NRA members should be murdered, the Register needs to take more responsibility. That they have endangered a lot of peoples lives. She said she would make a note of what I said and pass it on to the editor. WHATEVER!

Did anyone else get the B.S. email response from Mr. Green? The line that has me puzzled is this: "When taxpayers and residents call us to inquire how safe their kids’ schools are, we have to investigate it. I’m sure you understand that. It’s an incredibly legitimate question."
They have to investigate it? Is this some new law? Unfortunately this isn't the first time I've heard this B.S. from the media. Our local radio station gave me the same line one time when I questioned them reporting on a fairly sensitive issue that morally probably should have just been left alone for the sake of those involved in the issue. |
