So according to Baudler by not agreeing with his amendment we are "disregarding public safety"?
Baudler seems to think that in this case putting up signs in hospitals, etc. will make them safe. He has "no problem" with nixing constitutional carry. He is happy where we are - "that is a fair statement" NFA is too extreme. "Just remember, we have a good system right now." Somewhere, this NRA board member has missed the organization's mission. Baudler needs to go. Dorr is still a doof. At least he was an articulate doof here. |

"I am not a dictator!"
The crazies want silencers and machine guns. I sure do want a suppressor. Had enough hearing damage from the constant noise of the generators and gun fire while in the military! Go Clel go! A few more interviews like that and he won't need to worry about his election campaign. |

Mr Dorr has some very good points. Bauder needs to go. He is not on my side. isn't is sad when the guy pushing all kinds of agendas for a paycheck makes more points than the NRA board member? don't kid yourself. this guy lied out his ass in the interview. it can all be proven if folks are interested, but those that follow him around aren't interested in the truth are they? then you have an NRA board member that essentially says you aren't ready for your rights like 40+ other states are like cans or NFA... in one statement he claims he's no dictator, and then he says he won't allow certain bills to come through his committee... balancing 2A and public safety? the 2A IS public safety... i've listened to this podcast five or six times now. both of these guys need to go... it's that simple... |

one of my favorites is the gypsy's standard line of being nonpartisan... they only support extremely conservative candidates. geri huser (D) from altoona voted for every bill, amendment, and procedural vote they ever had while she was in office. she was one of the original "six pack" democrats that always voted pro gun, pro business, etc.
she supported them even with Rs wouldn't and when an ultra conservative person decided to run against her they put out a hit piece on geri huser accusing her of being passionately anti gun. it was total lies from front to back, yet the gypsy manages to lie past those types of repeated acts over and over. that was one of several... |

I am not happy about watering down a law that we already have in place even in an effort to strengthen it. If we cannot make what we have stronger then we are foolish to let it go any farther. If we can make it better then fine, but the question is can we pull/kill a bill if it will not go through stronger than it began so we do not lose ground?
It seems to me we may be flirting with a disastrous maneuver that may leave us weaker than when we started. Preemption, despite Millers opinion & various meaningless resolutions, was a decisive law to start with. Resolutions are nothing more than a meaningless policy with no real effect on us. In our fervor to fight something meaningless I hope we do not lose something meaningful. |

Well, as they say, "The proof of the pudding is the eating." We will have to see how the bills actually turn out, and, if the process to restore them is not an advancement in rights, see if they are withdrawn (Who has authority to pull them –– the author, or committee chair, or what?)
Remember that the legislative funnel is now closed, and it IS entirely possible that they would have died in committee had they not been amended. |

If this gets fixed then I am good with it like I said. I just don't want to go backwards trying to fix something that really was not broken. |
