Fellow ARFCOM'ers
An important election is quickly approaching, and its results are vital to how Republicans move forward in helping our party claim victories from the White House to the Courthouse in November. Today, I’m asking for your support in my bid to become Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa. 2012 is shaping up to be one of the most important elections of our lifetime. The Republican Party of Iowa must have a strong leader who can help unite the party, develop resources and lead the charge. We need to help make President Barack Obama a one-term president, give Gov. Terry Branstad two majorities at the Statehouse and send four Iowa Republicans to Congress. Folks, Republicans are embroiled in an ideological conflict with Barack Obama and his merry band of wealth redistributors. The Republican Party of Iowa must have a strong State Chair, great state and county central committees, activists and a volunteer network in place to be victorious in November. I understand what is at stake and am capable of uniting the party, reaching out to party loyalists, expanding our grassroots and fundraising efforts by getting all Republicans involved and excited about making Iowa great again. Despite the great job our previous Chairman did correcting RPI business processes and strides made in the 2010 election, the recent negative attention the Iowa Caucus earned has left many Iowans’ in both political parties wondering how we protect our First in the Nation Caucus status. That is a concern I also share, and I will create a team of the smartest people we can find to ensure that in 2016, the Iowa Caucuses take advantage of all of Iowa’s talents and available technology to help us pull off a perfect caucus event. It’s time we take Iowa off the map as a swing state and put it firmly in the Republican column. Why did our previous Chairman leave? He seemed to be doing a pretty good job. I heard rumors that people in the part were playing political games against him?
Anyway, that's done and gone. So, can you clarify some positions, as your website says nothing at all of substance (no offense intended): Do you fully support: - constitutional carry - the removal of state-level restrictions on all weapons in Iowa - ban on use of any and all automated, warrant-less surveillance equipment by the government in Iowa (traffic cameras, street cameras, any vehicle tracking) |
