A lot of you have been asking what we've had in the works. Well here's what we have going on over the next two months:
Basic Handgun Operation Two offerings on Aug 14th and Sept 17th Basic Rifle Operation Aug 28th and Sept 17th Tactical Pistol I Aug 20-21 Tactical Rifle I Sept 10-11 As always, our training information including dates, locations, course descriptions/requirement materials, and registrations forms can be found here CCA Training Page We have been fortunate to have a few arfcommers come out for classes. I won't put words in their mouths, but I think they had a great time and walked away with a lot of valuable skills and information. We'd sure like to have more of the Hometown crew out there, so get signed up and see what everyone is talking about! |
|
When I went I was accused of being a school shooter and a spray paint artist. Then again I was wearing a trench coat in the morning (IT WAS COLD AND WINDY) and kept painting numbers on all of the targets Seriously though If any of you have had any thoughts of taking some training, I HIGHLY recommend you take any of their classes. Just make sure to complement Rlarge on his hair and bring Romp some chew. I still need to take basic rifle and tac pistol I but that will have to wait untill I can get some more funds. |

I get the feeling I'm going to be the only person out there with a 5.56 semi rifle among bolt guns. Oh well. I tested various match ammos today at the range and Prvi 75g match held up under 1 moa @100meters (switching to metric. easier with the mil/mil scope you sold me awhile back) |

Septic, something that wasn't really clear in the course description is what kind of target pages we'll be using in class. The kit I ordered has a variety in it. Are they really going to show us how to fill in everything in that book. That's a huge amount of information. |

Better luck next time on "the best Crandall shooter" certificate. I think you may have had a chance on the 50 yard Crandall Cigarette/Beef Jerky dash i was robbed i tell ya... we were discussing it on the ride home, and when we got home, over dinner, and after dinner and the only conclusion we came to was Romp forced Rick to choose Justin, and Romp was just mad i chose team rick.
watching the video i took on my phone we all voted i did the best out of the 3, Justin and i shot the same on the prone at 50, i beat him on the walk of shame (witch i did terrible on), and i was rockin the malfunction drills. i asked Justin "what do you feel you did better at than i did?" his only response was "well i got the certificate so, it doesnt matter" it was political all the way but dont worry, we are going to take it BACK to the range, and i will post up targets/times and we shall see. |

Romp's the man ![]() Does everyone see now? Romp is clearly on a power trip and forcing the good Frenchman to say things he doesn't mean On a serious note, I had a great weekend, we all left better shooters than we were at the start. And minus a few hurt feelings everyone left safe with no extra holes. I look forward to attending another CCA class...maybe I will retake the basic rifle, its in my budget and I probably need the practice |

There are still a few slots left in Tactical Rifle I. This course will be a prerequisite for an awesome course (to be announced soon) that you won't find anywhere else. I have a good idea what you are talking about but am locked down for the year so far. Plus I'd need basic rifle as well. Double Whammy. |
