I was wondering if any of you are near Johnston and have knowledge of trailers
Found some M101A3's on GovLiquidation.com but I am about five hours away.

If it's been in the Iowa Guard it's been taken care of.  I'm familiar with that type of trailer.  Rugged and well built.  Worth $150.  kwg

Some of the trailors out there are used and have had the piss beat out of them, some are in great shape.  I know before you want to move them disengage the brake on it before you drag it accross the motorpool and down the road.

About two and a half years ago I went out to Camp Dodge to look at a few Dueces because I really really needed one.  The guy that runs the auction opens an envelope in front of a few of us and a hundred dollar bill falls out with a letter hoping that he would let the sender know what trucks to bid on.  Anyway, guy running the show admits he doesn't know shit about the trucks and asks us, "Hey guys, which ones are the good ones?"   We all look at each other and shuffle away.  Lesson:   See the trucks yourself.

I'm a little too far away to do a preview for you, I would definately not bid on anything I didn't preview. I've seen good equipment & I've seen equipment that was rusted out but looked good in the auction pics. There are often auctions with the wrong pics used not to mention descriptions that are way off.

I bought a deuce out of Camp Dodge a couple years ago, and you're right, Scott & Nate dont know shit about the stuff they list. Nice guys to BS with though. I know a guy who buys a LOT of deuces from GL & Scott has called him before for an early preview, but the ones he got started got listed as "runs" instead of "driven onto lot". He wasn't too happy about that, they sold pretty high. I don't think he'll be doing his job for him anymore.

Hell, I'm National Guard out of Camp Dodge and I couldn't get a preview.  Anyway, I guess I'm glad I didn't get one, I'm not ready for the committment.

They can be money pits if you get addicted to making improvements. My $1400 truck has $6K in it now even with me doing all the work
