Last Tuesday, the Benton County Supervisors passed a resolution prohibiting firearms and dangerous weapons on or in county property. Why is this a problem?
A fillet knife greater than 5" long when fishing in a county park will result in an arrest. A shotgun in your vehicle while hunting, and you turn around in a county park entrance - jail time! Protecting yourself in a tent or camper in a county park is now illegal. Folks, we've got to get them to rescind this!! Your help is needed. We will meet at 11:00 on Tuesday, Jan 18 at the Benton County Courthouse to address the Supervisors. You don't have to speak if you don't care to. It's important that we fill the meeting room!
