Hey what are the chances of trading empty brass at the gun show this weekend for loaded ammo?  I have a LOT of empty brass I want to trade for loaded ammo.  If this is possible what should I expect as a trade off?  Say 450 empty 5.56/.223 for how much loaded ammo?  Or is this not an option.

Thanks guys

Since the guy I normally buy my .223 brass at the shows for about $8 per 100 you might be able to get 1-2 boxes of loaded ammo maybe

Plus what I am buying is pre-tumbled and checked and yours I am assuming is just range pickup it would likely be easier to walk around and try and sell it for 8-10 per 100 to someone walking around and then buy some ammo from a table. If you live in CR I may buy it from you for the right price.

Cool!  Thanks for the info!  Nope live in DSM.  I was at the Adventureland show tonight and decided to keep it.  Someday I may buy a reloader.  I have a ton of empties but not sure if I really want to get into reloading.

450 isn't a LOT of brass, just FYI.

FYI I just used 450 as a number here!

Try posting it in the FS forum here. My guess is if you ask a decent price, it'll get snagged up.

Personally, I think it would be a mistake to get rid of it at any cost. Considering the uncertain future I think the smart money is on the ability to reload. I save all my brass and though I haven't fired up the rockchucker in a couple years it'll be making a comeback.
