i know who everyone will be cussing for the pistol course of fire........

for more info   you need to sign up at the central iowa idpa user group
here

septic, you should try to make an effort to come and watch the match, on the other hand maybe not, you might be upset with yourself for not bringing firearms to go through it with..............it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Unfortunately I'd have to sell about 30 guns to get down to entering a 3-gun match.

And I don't see that happening anytime too soon either.

Have fun guys as I enjoy reading how much fun you're having...with your clothes on BB of course!

Bret,

You deserve that for the "it is going to be sick" in your other thread.

if you would have answered your phone earlier today you would have heard about it......

oh scores are posted, and i know the winner is a first rate guy that is very happy all of his hard work, and practice(although he needs more, much more of it) has paid off......

Thank god for shotgun failures right?

All I can say about my performance was it was VERY lackluster.  I was off my game.  A lack of practice was very evident.  I plan to remedy that shortly.

more like thank god for hitting the targets....

i wish that i could have finished with my shotgun, but if you would take the time to look at the results you will see that the "shotgun failure" in question, also happened to put me dead last in the shotgun warm up drill almost 16.8 seconds behind the average score for that run........., and that was 22 seconds off of the leaders.....

there are many ways to interpret the results but the bottom line is that some brought their "a" game, while others didnt..........i just wish i could go shooting this week before boone............

Since you want to be that way. If others would have lucked out by having shotgun failures and shooting the shotgun course with a pistol, the results very well may have been different.  I am saying that this is a weird circumstance that a failure actually benefitted someone.  Of course the SOP is usually a reshoot or DNF.

I am not trying to take away from your win.  You shot good.  I am saying however that the need to switch to pistol sooner due to a shotgun failure benefitted you on that stage, and in the end, the overall match.

I am just being honest.

i took a pair of 5 second penalties for not being able to shoot at clays, i did try everything within my power to remedy the situation with the shotgun berfore transitioning........wich was a required action anyhow.  and i also seem to recall hearing that i was not the only person to run into problems on the shotgun stage and make the move to pistol early.  hell the high shotgun course score was done with a pistol and acknowledged as such........

i guess we will just have to wait for the next 3 gun match to see how things go then.......

hrmmmm, wonder if i need a different shotgun?
