Guys, can ya help me out...?

Some of you know me, but so you can put a face with a screen-name; Booger, you shot my .50 Beowulf upper at Bays Branch a few shoots ago; Septic, we looked at the Magpul PRS stocks at a couple tables at the Fairgrounds gun show; BigRhino, I am the 6'-3" red-head that bought the MIAD grip and drools over the Magpul PRS stock at the last few gunshows...

Not that any of this means that I am anybody- just want to assure you all that I am not some goof looking for a line on something I shouldn't have anyway.

Now, what I am looking for is an upper- actually, trying to help my cousin(whom some of you have also met at the shoots) to find an upper and not have to wait for a couple of months.

I have a DPMS RFA2-Bull20-A3; an A3 upper with dust cover and forward assist with a 20" SS bull barrel (1/9).  He has a Colt lower with an M4-gery upper(DPMS I believe), but he wants an upper "just like mine".  I think any of the good uppers would do- doesn't have to be a DPMS- but should be a Rock River Arms, a Superior Arms, or a DPMS with a good quality barrel.

He was happy with his until he saw me shoot mine and I made one-hole groups at 75 yards and could hit swinging 7x5 inch plates at 75, 120 and 220 yards randomly, just as fast as I could pull the trigger.  (Even I was impressed!!!- LOVE my DPMS!!!!)

So, if anybody knows where I can find him an upper that is : flat-top, free-float, 20" bull-barrel, RRA, SA or DPMS, $400-$600..(?) please let me know.

I have checked the Iowa and board equipment exchange but most of what I see is going to take a while.

BigRhino, I checked your site(and we actually talked to you about this at the show) and one page says 3-4 weeks, and one page says 10 days...?

I wouldn't mind building one for him, but do not have the tools necessary.

So, can anyone give a fellow ARFcommer and "neighbor" any suggestions?

Thanks guys!

I remember the face, You didn't leave any drool on the table so all is good.
Yes I have been meaning to fix that on the site. I have switched over to selling Superior Arms Uppers exclusivly, and just have not had the time between shows and hunting, to update as I would like. Come the new year you will see more frequent updates.
Im going to send you an email inbound so Im not shamlessly advertising.

I got the model 1 C.A.R. kit with the flat top and rail type gas block and spent around $800 total after buying the carry handle and front sight.  I got a superior lower from CK's gun shop

glad to hear from you.  have you considered picking something up from DPMS, bushy, RRA, Superior, etc through a dealer on the fly?  sometimes it takes a phone call.  also, i know it sounds like a kick in the craw, but i ordered a 20" FF flat top complete upper in stainless bull barrel from MidwayUSA for @ $400 something and i had it in two days...

it ended up with a tele-stock since i sold it to my neighbor.  ???  that's what he wanted...  anyway, i thought i'd mention it.

Hey guys- I am sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you on this.  Seems like I have been going non-stop ever since the holidays.

I wanted to thank you all for your input and help on this; BigRhino and Septic- Thanks for the pm's.

I was relaying the info to my cousin as I was getting it and apparently while I was out of town for the holidays he placed an order and got exactly what he was looking for at a really good price and is very happy with it.

I expect him to join us again at the next shoot with his new baby.

Thanks again for all your help!!
