| Anybody going to the gunshow this weekend? Me and the kids will be there Sunday and we wanted to see if any other members will be there to meet up. The kids love the pretzels! |

Be sure to stop by the R B Precision booth(center of west side). It was nice to meet Robert and real nice to deal with him as he had what I was looking for. This is his first show in Des Moines and hopes to return this fall. There are a few less dealers at this show,as expected for a summer show, but lots of goodies to eyeball and purchace if you have the $. There is an ammo dealer from" Back East"(NJ ?) at the east side of the building that wasn't to impressed with the turn out. But,he does have about any caliber of Wolf ammo you want, and in large quantities. For a summer show,I was pleased with what the dealers had to offer. If you couldn't go today, try to tomorrow. Cazador 2

I stopped by the RB Precision and spoke with Robert as well as Kip with KAT Performance Coatings and I was impressed! Robert had sold all of the Superior Arms lowers and parts that they had brought and was actually selling one of the lowers off the pegboard display stand. It sounds like RB Precision, KAT Performance Coatings AND Superior Arms will be at the September gun show in Des Moines which will be GREAT for all of us who attend. I was happy to hear that they had AR "pistol" lowers at the gunshow but were all gone by the time I got over to the tables on Sunday afternoon, but the price is very reasonable and plan on ordering two when I get back from the "sandbox" and picking them up at the September gunshow. I was also surprised to learn that for an additional $20 I can have a custom serial # made for my AR lowers...my daughter will finally have (when she gets old enough that is) her own weapon with her first name and birthdate as the serial #!!!! Ammunitionstore.com was the ammunition vendor at the Fairgrounds and I believe they're out of Ohio...and sadly it's true that they probably won't be back as the sales just weren't there for the distance they had to travel. For an Iowegian it's a large purchase if you buy ONE case of ammo...but for them it's someone who buys 5-10,000 as they're used to dealing with machinegun friendly states where someone actually buys bulk because they go thru a lot more ammo when they shoot. Had I known they were going to be there I could've scraped together some money and got a couple cases of ammo but didn't have enough on me to buy any except 500 rounds of Aguila Super Maximum .22lr ammo. |
| I bought a can of .50 BMG from Ammunitionstore on Saturday. Saved me some $ on shipping. The salesman was real nice guy to deal with, to bad they won't be back. If I had known they were going to be there, I would have taken inventory of what I had and what friends needed and made a bulk purchase. |
