| Anyone know of a good/reliable/reasonably priced FFL in the SF area?? Thanks! |
|
I have used Gordy over at Dakota Police and Sporting. Reasonable fees but a pain in the ass to meet up with. I have also used Leon at Wheels Guns by Lennox. He is reasonable also, and a little easier to meet up with. 605-231-1435 I have also talked to Jim at AR Pawn in SF. I haven't used him, but he seemed reasonable when I talked to him. (605) 271-5000 Also for reference, I haven't bought a gun or transfered a gun in about a year. YMMV |

YMMV Gordy at Dakota Police and Sporting is a good guy to work with, just make sure you call him before you go to his place, it is kind of hard to find though. His transfer costs are reasonable though. He has a decent amount of C&R's |

Gordy is a good guy but as mentioned is tough to hook up with. However his normal day job is mostly banker hours so he's often at his shop late in the evening. His location is unique and unmarked, you need detailed directions to find it.
AR Pawn sometimes has interesting stuff along the military style or C&R line. The guy seems friendly enough but I haven't talked to him about transfers. |
| Gordy Jensen at Sioux Falls Police and Tactical Supply. Bought an AR-15 from him a couple years back. I bought a couple rifles from Gary's a few years back and was considering them again for my next gun. But since I've heard through a buddy that they burned a couple of police officers on deals I changed my mind. My thought is if your going to burn one of the largest groups of gun collectors in town, why wouldn't they burn the average joe. Sportsmans is closing, that gun store in Dell Rapids closed. Only leaves basically ACE, Wallmart, Scheels and Gordy. I like Gordy for years since he worked at Husets, and the door at Scarlets and he is a hard worker and the kind of guy I like to see stay in business. I call for my hair cuts so calling Gordy and scheduling when he'll be in is not a problem. |

AR Pawn and gun was co-founded by Al's Guns up north of Brookings. Al is a great guy and I've bought a dozen or so firearms/uppers/ammo from him. He also runs Haleta Construction up there. It's been a couple of years since I've been there so I'm not sure if he still has his shop. Google will give you his phone number if your interested. Garys isn't even worth mentioning. I'd take my money elsewhere. |
