| I've talked to a few people about this, but I haven't gotten any solid answers. Are there any groups in Michigan that do any kind of night shooting? i haven't been able to find anything solid, just a few people that would let me shoot on their land. Is it legal to shoot on state land at night? |

A few years back they held a night shoot at BWSA, I think it was run by the guys who manage the 3gun program. I know the club elders there pretty well and could maybe push for something like this again, but IMO the safety issues are so daunting there would have to be pre-reqs/vetting for attendance before I'd think much more about it.
Can't give you strict yes/no of legality, but since NRC has OK'd (limited) centerfire at night for certain areas I would think you could do it in areas where night predator hunting is permitted, with expectation that LEO or DNR may pay you a visit. If you have a call with you, you should be ok. |

A lot of night activities are going to be met with noise ordinances. You'd be better off finding someone with land in the middle of nowhere in an civil or unincorporated township. I heard about another range that allowed the county sheriff's department use of their facilities after sundown, and their neighbors were not too happy hearing gunfire at 2am. |
