Needs to cut bridge cards and put those people to work fixing our damn roads. I'm thinking about selling a car I just bought because of how bad it drives on our torn up roads. Practically NEED a truck or SUV to navigate them.

I had to switch from a 16" stock rim for my little car to a 15" rim with more meat on it because of the roads.  Leaving a family members house Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, I hit a pothole at the I-75 on ramp from M-59 and BLEW out a time/rim.  I mean it sounded like a shotgun going off.  I have lost a few rims and tires over the last few years due to potholes.

There's nothing wrong with having people that are able bodied and receive guvment assistance cleaning the sides of the roads, building the roads, etc.....  Hell, we should be making convicts clean the roads and build them.  It seemed to work down south........

I'm not sure how you blow out tires and damage rims from potholes. I know it happens, but I've been driving in Metro Detroit for 8ish years and never even come close to that.

Anyways, we really should put our convicts and FSA to work. If they don't want to hold a job and just want to collect unemployment, they should be put on a road crew and forced to work 40 hours per week to get their welfare. They should also be drug tested monthly and breathalyzed each morning they show up for road crew. If you're on welfare, you damn well better not spend my money on your booze and drugs. If I wanted to pay for your booze, I'd take you to the bar, and no fucking way am I doing that for those low lifes.

Exactly. I had 15" rims on my old car, 17" on my new one. Both are stock factory wheels. Huge difference.

rjbergen, your lucky!  I've been driving in MI. for 24 years.  I've had blow outs on more than one pot hole before.  Some are deep and can swallow a tire.
