Greetings. I'm going to be vacationing in your fine state shortly. I've been reading a lot about Founders Brewing Company, especially their breakfast stouts, and I really want to get in on some of that. Unfortunately I could not convince the rest of my group to stay anywhere near the brewery. I'm going to spending some time on the first day in New Buffalo, then the rest of my time will be in the Douglas/Saugatuck area with maybe a day in Holland. Are Founders products widely available in your state? Can I get them at pretty much any liquor store? Or am I going to have to go to a store that specializes in local brews?

| Most places I've seen on the west side of the state have many of Founders beers, you should have no problem finding them in Douglas/Saugatuck area. While you are in Holland check out the New Holland Brewery, they have some very good beers. Also, the Curragh in Holland has a Guinness battered fish and chips that is quite good, and its just up the street from New Holland Brewery. |

The Kentucky Breakfast Stout is a single run brew released (and quickly sold out) in march, and the standard breakfast stout won't be back on shelves until September-ish. Late reply, but MMM...Kentucky Breakfast Stout!! I shared one bottle this year. My friend went to the brewery w/ another buddy on the release day, and they were only able to bring home 4 x 4packs between the two of them. They said it was PACKED w/ people lined up the night before. K |
