Going to Novi for a Dog Show 26-29 and am looking for "native" food and delicious interesting places to eat dinner. Staying at The Double Tree so nothing too far or hard to get to.

The Melting Pot of Novi. Don't know about the "romantic" bit, but I took the family there a while back - some pretty tasty chow. I think they may have had an OK beer selection too, but I was carrying, so I didn't partake. My Japanese friends highly recommend Ajishin (over Cherry Blossom). I've been wanting to go to Shiro Restaurant. Heard Novi PD take a call from a guy that had a .45 taken from his console that had been valet parked there. 
My Chinese friends recommend Kims Garden. I used to go to Border Cantina alot. Haven't been there lately tho - no particular reason. You can google these: Bonefish, Diamond Jim Brady, Bar Louie, Steve and Rocky's, Not Novi, but Rocky's is good. And so are many places in downtown Northville. Don't fret too much - I've never had a bad dining experience in the area. |
