Pearl Street Jackson, MI. 49201 (517)-782-8418 Classroom and legal portion upstairs @ Schupbach’s, min. 5 hrs. Lunch break, followed by range portion min. 3 hrs. @ JCOC or BSC; (be prepared for 10 hrs. + day.) Students will need to bring – Note taking materials Snacks and refreshments and/or lunch for the day Proper eye and ear protection (avail. for purchase @ Schupbach’s) Min. 100 rounds of ammunition for their pistol (avail. for purchase @ Schupbach’s) NO AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM, LEAVE IT IN YOUR CAR Unloaded and properly cased pistol .22 cal or larger Holster and magazine carrier if you have them, if not, that is ok Recommend you pick up your MI. CPL application and bring to class Pistol rental is available for $10, 9mm Glock 17/19, or .22 cal Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a NRA certificate that certifies that they have met the training requirements for MI. Handgun 1 Class Sunday, October 16th 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. @ Brooklyn Sportsman’s Club Brooklyn, MI. Cost: $125.00 Round count: 500 HG1 is the next step after basic MI. CPL training; you will learn how to fight with your handgun, with up to date, real world techniques that you will need to maximize your odds of surviving a lethal encounter. Pre-requisite: Signed ROL waiver, valid MI. DL, CPL, if no CPL, exceptions may be made by PDFT mgmt. on a case-by-case basis. Topics Covered: Mindset, preparedness, situational awareness, and critical decision making skills. Fighting stance, shooting positions, master grip, draw and presentation. Sight picture, trigger control, and follow-through. Proper scan and assess w/ SUL. Speed and tactical reloads. Malfunction clearances. Proper use of cover and concealment. Shooting strong hand and support hand only. Shooting on the move / multiple targets, and more. Requirements: An open mind and proper eye / ear protection. Safe and properly functioning pistol or revolver. 3 magazines or speed-loaders, (magazine or speed loader carriers are recommended). Working holster, and quality gun belt, (shoulder or cross-draw holsters are prohibited) Lunch / snacks and drinks for 8 hours of training. Recommendations: Appropriate dress for the weather. (I pack rain gear, just in case.) Sunscreen and insect repellent. Note pad, and pencil / pens. (If you have specific questions prior to the class, write them down and bring them with you, or email me.) Hand towel, kneepads, etc. Many choose to bring chairs and canopies for shade. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive: Certificate of course completion. Student handout kit.
