I usually go but gas is at a point where driving 100 miles each way is just to expensive to maybe find something and maybe walk out empty handed. I've done well there in the past but the last few shows [barring selling a G19 to a fellow ARFcommer] have been mostly busts and prices have been sort of stupid. [in the past, pricing was pretty good on what I was looking for]
Always enjoyed going in the past but at $4.15 a gallon, my travel distances to shows have been cut in about 1/2. |
klutz347, I sent ya a PM re: the reason why your going to the gun show.  I need a harness / vest more than I need another lower. I was thinking of going to the show today. They didn't post the admission prices on their site and nobody's answering the phone. I'm a cheap bastard these days with these astronomical gas prices.

Went this morning with my son and a buddy of his.
I looked for a lower, saw a few but couldn't stomach the $140 for a DPMS (Nothing wrong with DPMS, but that's a bit on the high side for me) and $195 for a Rock River. I left them still sitting in their cases. Picked up 1k #41 SR primers for $30 and a few hundred 7.62x54r ammo. There was a bunch of reloads for sale and the normal ammo sellers, but nothing spectacular. Did see one guy selling black and tan PMAGS w/ windows for $15 and a bunch of USGI's. Didn't buy any though. ETA: admission was $7, and I think $5 for the 65 and over crowd. |
